I had surprise waiting for me in the dining room this morning. At first I thought it was something dead the dog had dragged in, but no. It was a very alive little bat. I successfully caught him in the towel and got him outside. He was so freaked out he refused to leave the towel for quite a while so I grab my camera.

I was surprised to find this little guy (or gal – I didn’t ask) while walking through a corn maze with the family. He’s about the size of my thumbnail.
